KOSAKU KANECHIKA is pleased to present the exhibition “Mirror of Fashion” from April 21st.

With the keyword of “fashion portrait”, this exhibition in collaboration with Naruyama Gallery will feature selected works from Naruyama Gallery’s unusual collection, including vintage prints of Charles Eisenmann’s portraits of figures in freak shows in the Victorian era, director Esfir Shub’s portrait by Aleksander Rodchenko, illustrator Saul Steinberg’s portrait by Robert Doisneau, and Francesco Scavullo’s “Antonia, Hong Kong”.

In addition, the exhibition will include work by Chikashi Suzuki, who is holding a solo exhibition in KOSAKU KANECHIKA’s main space concurrently. Varying times and techniques, the works in the exhibition all capture not only the styles and fashions, but also the special individual presences of the subjects and spaces taken in the photographs.
